{"id":20,"date":"2012-01-03T17:43:58","date_gmt":"2012-01-03T17:43:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/starcraft.kevinleung.com\/?page_id=20"},"modified":"2015-04-09T22:28:11","modified_gmt":"2015-04-10T05:28:11","slug":"resources","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/blog.spawningtool.com\/?page_id=20","title":{"rendered":"External Resources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here are some of the good resources to learning about Starcraft.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tutorials<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/filtersc\/videos\">filtersc&#8217;s YouTube channel<\/a> &#8211; he starts at a very basic level, so if you&#8217;re newer and need to get your fingers underneath you, his videos are a great resource<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/dignitasApollo\" target=\"_blank\">Apollo&#8217;s YouTube channel<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; he has made a few playlists of guides to playing each race and explaining builds in every matchup. Check out his &#8220;Bronze to Master&#8221; tutorials<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/day9.tv\/archives\/?q=%22Newbie%20Tuesday%22\" target=\"_blank\">Day[9] Daily &#8220;Newbie Tuesday&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; he does hour long shows where he talks through a particular topic. Besides being a premier personality and commentator, he&#8217;s a former Brood War pro and very helpful and entertaining<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Guides<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.teamliquid.net\/starcraft2\/Strategy\" target=\"_blank\">Liquipedia<\/a> &#8211; TeamLiquid is making a big push right now to improve their StarCraft strategy content<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Videos and Streams<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Below are a few favorite streamers as well. Note that there&#8217;s an American bias because they stream at times that are convenient for me to watch.<\/p>\n<p><em>Protoss<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/incontroltv\">iNcontroL<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; American pro player. He&#8217;s not top-top tier, but he is still far better than most of us, and also quite entertaining. He talks through his games quite well<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.azubu.tv\/Artosis\">Artosis<\/a> &#8211; American caster. He is quite familiar with the meta and often provides good replay analysis of his games<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/drennoc\/\">DrennoC<\/a> &#8211; American amateur streamer. He doesn&#8217;t have a huge following, but he commentates continuously through his game and interacts with chat well<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Zerg<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/vibelol\">ViBE<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; American pro player. He&#8217;s best known for ridiculously high APM, but more importantly, he&#8217;s constantly talking through his games<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/pseudorandom63\">Pseudorandom63<\/a> &#8211; American amateur streamer. He also doesn&#8217;t have a big following, but he innovates his own strategies and provides good analysis for his games<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Terran<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/colqxc\" target=\"_blank\">qxc<\/a> &#8211; American\u00a0pro player. I happen to think he&#8217;s really smart and has good micro. He likes bio a lot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And an obligatory <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/starcraft\/comments\/lxq5a\/brood_war_a_huge_introductory_post\/\">Brood War throwback guide<\/a>, for all of you who may have missed it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here are some of the good resources to learning about Starcraft.
