This blog began as Kevin’s personal StarCraft blog. For the first year of this blog’s existence, it was mostly short posts about things learned while playing. Just around the release of HotS, however, he posted a few build orders for each race, and this drew a tremendous amount of traffic.<\/p>\n
Shortly afterwards, we launched Spawning Tool<\/a>, a site that automatically extracts build orders from replays and offers a variety of analysis tools. More and more of the blog’s content shifted towards Spawning Tool development and analysis derived from the site data, to the point where it eventually made sense to swap the site as being the official Spawning Tool blog.<\/p>\n Our goal is to bring a quantitative approach to watching and playing StarCraft.
